  • From main fabric:
    1. Center back skirt half – qty 2
    2. Side back skirt half – qty 2
    3. Center right front – qty 1
    4. Center left front — qty 1
    5. Side front — qty 2
    6. Back facing – qty 2
    7. Upper Yoke – qty 2
    8. Right Yoke — qty 2
    9. Left Yoke - qty 2
  • From fusible interfacing:
    1. Back facing – qty 2
    2. Upper Yoke – qty 1
    3. Left Yoke — qty 1
    4. Right Yoke — qty 1

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the yokes and facings with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch the princess seams of the back skirt half. Clip the seam allowances, press towards the center, and serge.
  3. Serge the center seams of the back skirt half separately on each piece. Stitch the center seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press the seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
  4. Stitch the center seam of the front skirt half. Serge the seam allowance and press to the left side.
  5. On both front pieces, fuse the vent from the wrong side. On the right side, mark the fold line of the vent. Press the center along the vent fold line; on the side, press only the vent seam allowance to the wrong side. Serge the princess seam of the front separately on each piece. Serge the vent seam allowances. Align the pieces along the princess seam and secure at the upper edge of the vent. Stitch the princess seam up to the vent corner. Press the seam allowances towards the center, press the vent seam allowances and secure them with machine stitching.
  6. Fold the front yokes right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Clip the seam allowance and turn to the right side. Stitch the upper edge of the left yoke, inserting the front yoke between them. Fold the left yoke down and press. Stitch the upper edge of the right yoke, inserting the left and upper yokes between the pieces. Fold the right yoke down and press. Attach the yoke to the center front. Serge the seam allowance and press downwards.
  7. Serge the lower edge of the back facing. Stitch the upper edge of the back with the facing.
  8. Fold the front skirt half and back skirt half pieces right sides together. Align the side seams, wrapping the front with the back facing. Stitch the side seams. Press the seam allowances towards the back and serge. Secure the back facing to the zipper tape with hand stitches.
  9. Serge the lower edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side, and hem with blind stitches.
