CUTTER'S MUST

  • FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
  • BACK PANEL – 1 QTY (on fold)
  • SLEEVE – 2 QTY

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Cut a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and equal to the length of the back neckline. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the BIAS BINDING with the neckline edge on the right side and stitch, then fold the BIAS BINDING to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  2. Stitch the shoulder and SIDE PANEL edges of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL.
  3. Stitch the SLEEVE edges. Serge the seams and press.
  4. Set in the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching the NOTCHES. Serge the seams and press.
  5. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
  6. Serge the edge of the front opening and the top edge of the FRONT PANEL. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
