CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
    1. Center FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
    2. SIDE PANEL – 2 QTY
    3. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
    4. Waistband – 1 QTY
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
    1. Waistband – 1 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the waistband with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Along the side and center edges of the SIDE PANEL, stitch with loosely tensioned stitches from the top to the bottom mark and gather. Attach the side front parts to the center, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center part, and overlock.
  3. Stitch the darts on the BACK SKIRT HALF. Press the dart depths towards the center. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the center back seam. Stitch the center back seam from the NOTCHES for the ZIPPER to the bottom. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Insert the ZIPPER.
  4. Stitch the side seams. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press them towards the BACK PANEL.
  5. Attach the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt. Finish the ends of the waistband, trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, and turn out. Fold under the inner edge of the waistband and topstitch into the attaching seam. Press the waistband when finished.
  6. Overlock the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
  7. Mark and overcast the buttonhole (on the waistband). Sew on the button.
