Sewing Instructions

  1. Attach the welt to the pocket with an overlay seam. Stitch a reinforcing line along the upper edge of the welt. Place the pocket on the FRONT PANEL SIDE PANEL according to the markings and topstitch.
  2. Stitch the relief edges of the FRONT PANEL with an overlay seam.
  3. Stitch the relief edges of the BACK PANEL with an overlay seam.
  4. Stitch the center edge of the BACK PANEL with an overlay seam.
  5. Stitch the shoulder edges of the sheepskin coat.
  6. Set the SLEEVES into the open armholes with an overlay seam.
  7. Stitch the side edges of the sheepskin coat simultaneously with the SLEEVE edge.
  8. Stitch the CUFF into a ring. Stitch a reinforcing line along the upper edge of the CUFF. Fold the SLEEVE and CUFF fur side in and attach the CUFF to the SLEEVE with a closed seam (trim the CUFF SEAM ALLOWANCES and topstitch the SLEEVE SEAM ALLOWANCES). Turn the CUFF to the right side.
  9. Attach the COLLAR to the stand with an overlay seam. Set the stand into the neckline with an overlay seam (on the right FRONT PANEL, finish the stitch at the mark).
  10. Stitch a reinforcing line along the edge of the front opening, COLLAR, and hemline.
  11. On the right FRONT PANEL and stand, make buttonholes; on the left side, sew on buttons. Sew on buttons symmetrically to the buttonholes on the right FRONT PANEL. Note that the buttons on the FRONT PANEL are sewn with underbuttons.
