Fabric Recommendations

Choose medium-stretch knit fabrics that offer both comfort and drape:

  • Medium-stretch knit fabrics made from natural or blended fibers

Additional Supplies

  • 3 buttons

CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • 3. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
  • 4. YOKE — 2 QTY
  • 5. COLLAR — 1 QTY

Tip: Knit fabric pieces should be sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance should be topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. Alternatively, pieces can be sewn directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Mark and stitch the darts on the FRONT PANEL. Trim the dart excess with an overlocker. Fold the COLLAR in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the COLLAR to the neckline of the FRONT PANEL.
  2. Fold the YOKE pieces right sides together and stitch the long straight edge and the edge along the large semicircle. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES, clip the curves, turn the pieces right side out, and press. Place the YOKE on the FRONT PANEL and secure it along the armhole edge and the right shoulder edge. On the YOKE, create pleats according to the markings, with the inner fold of the pleats directed upwards towards the left shoulder edge. Topstitch the inner fold of the pleat onto the FRONT PANEL according to the markings on the FRONT PANEL piece. It is recommended to create and topstitch the pleats starting from the right side seam.
  3. Stitch the center back seam of the BACK PANEL. Stitch the shoulder seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL (on the BACK PANEL side, the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES are 1.5 cm longer than the FRONT PANEL shoulder seam). Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overcast.
  4. Stitch the side seams, overcast, and press towards the BACK PANEL.
  5. On the SLEEVE, cut the SEAM ALLOWANCE from the bottom corner to mark “o”. Mark and create pleats on the SLEEVE. The pleat depths are directed upwards. Secure the pleats along the edge. Stitch the seam from mark “o” to the bottom. Overcast and press the seam. Stitch the SLEEVE seam, overcast, and press. Attach the SLEEVES to the armholes. Overcast and press the seam.
  6. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, the back neckline edge, and the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
  7. Sew buttons according to the markings on the YOKE and SLEEVES.
