This versatile knit dress is perfect for a variety of occasions, offering both comfort and sophisticated style:

  • Occasion: Day-to-Evening Transition: Its elegant design allows for seamless transitions from professional settings to evening social engagements.
  • Occasion: Casual Chic Gatherings: A comfortable yet stylish choice for brunches, dinners, or semi-formal meet-ups.
  • Occasion: Special Occasions: The unique asymmetric neckline and flattering ruching make it an elevated option for celebrations or date nights.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: A sleek, body-hugging (bodycon) silhouette that sculpts the figure and falls gracefully to the knee.

Neckline: Features a distinctive asymmetric design, with an angled cut that creates a unique open detail on one side, contrasting with a higher, straighter line on the other.

Front: A prominent central front panel with extensive horizontal ruching (gathering) runs down the torso, creating texture and a flattering drape, framed by smooth, fitted side panels.

Sleeves: Long, slim-fit set-in sleeves extend to the wrist, completing the sleek profile.

Back: A clean, classic fitted back with a subtle vertical center seam for refined shaping.

Length: Knee-length, offering a balanced and elegant proportion.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires familiarity with sewing knit fabrics, creating gathers (ruchings), and constructing an asymmetric neckline and fitted silhouette.

Fabric Recommendations

Achieve the desired drape and fit with knit fabrics offering good stretch:

  • Knit fabrics with medium or high stretch
  • Natural or blended fibers

Additional Supplies

No additional notions are required.

CUTTER'S MUST

  • BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • Right SIDE PANEL of FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • Left SIDE PANEL of FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also sew the pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
