  • Transitional Styling: A perfect layering piece or stand-alone top suitable for various seasons.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: A close-fitting bodice that skims the body for a flattering shape.

Neckline: A classic, gently rounded scoop neck that sits gracefully at the collarbone.

Sleeves: Short, puffed sleeves with gathered details created by elastic thread, adding a stylish voluminous touch.

Back: A clean, smooth back panel maintaining the fitted silhouette.

Hem: A straight hem designed to sit at the hip.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires experience with knit fabrics, elastic thread application for gathering, and precise assembly.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose knit fabrics with medium stretch for optimal fit and drape:

  • Medium stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers
  • Stretch velvet

Additional Supplies

  • Elastic thread

CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. BACK PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
  • 2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
  • 3. SLEEVE – 2 QTY

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics should be stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch details directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Mark and stitch darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press the dart excess upwards.
  2. Stitch shoulder and side SEAM ALLOWANCES, overcast, and press towards the BACK PANEL.
  3. On the SLEEVE, mark the pleats and the elastic thread attachment line. Form the pleats according to the markings. The pleat depths are directed downwards. Secure the pleats along the sleeve cap. Stitch with elastic thread. Stitch the SLEEVE seam, overcast, and press. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes. Overcast and press the seam.
  4. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, the neckline edge, and the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
