Introducing a chic women's dress pattern, distinguished by its structured stand collar, short sleeves, and a prominent front zipper, all shaped by elegant vertical and horizontal seaming.

When To Wear

This versatile dress is perfect for various occasions where a blend of professionalism and modern style is desired:

  • Workday Chic: An ideal choice for the office or professional meetings, offering a polished yet comfortable silhouette.
  • Smart Casual Gatherings: Suitable for lunches, brunches, or daytime events where a refined but relaxed look is preferred.
  • Transitional Season Style: The short sleeves and structured fabric make it perfect for bridging the gap between seasons.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a fitted bodice transitioning to a subtle mini skirt, sculpted by princess seams on both front and back panels.

Neckline & Collar: Features a sleek, high stand collar, adding a touch of contemporary elegance.

Closure: an exposed zipper with visible teeth runs down the center front seam from the collar to the hip seam, providing a modern and functional detail.

Sleeves: Classic short, set-in sleeves offer comfortable coverage and a clean arm line.

Seaming: Prominent princess seams from the armholes on the front and back bodice, along with a horizontal seam at hip level, create shaping and visual interest. The front and back also feature center seams. All seams are topstitched 0.2 cm from the seam in contrast thread.

Length: Designed to fall to an above-knee length, offering a contemporary and flattering proportion.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires accurate zipper insertion, precise collar attachment, and careful execution of multiple seams, including topstitching, for a crisp finish.
