- Back – 2 pieces
- Front – 1 piece
- Upper Front – 1 piece
- Back Placket – 2 pieces
- Front Placket – 2 pieces
- Upper Front Placket – 2 pieces
- Sleeve Placket – 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Inner Back Placket, Front Placket and Upper Front Placket pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the inner Back Placket, Front Placket and Upper Front Placket pieces.
- Stitch the center back seam. Serge and press. Stitch the shoulder seams, serge and press towards the back.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the Back Placket and Upper Front Placket pieces. Press the seams towards the back. Stitch the outer plackets to the neckline edge. Serge and press the seam towards the placket.
- Place the outer and inner plackets right sides together and stitch along the neckline edge of the Upper Front and back. Turn the pieces right side out and press. On the Upper Front, turn under the open edge of the inner placket and stitch it into the seam, stopping at the shoulder seam. Press the seam. On the Front, place the two Front Placket pieces right sides together, insert the Upper Front between them and stitch. Turn the pieces right side out and press. Turn under the open edge of the placket and attach it into the seam.
- Stitch the underarm seam of the sleeve and the side seam in one. Serge and press the seam towards the back.
- Stitch each Sleeve Placket into a ring. Press the seam. Turn the placket right side out and fold it in half lengthwise, right side out. Attach the placket to the sleeve, positioning the placket seam at the bottom. Serge and press the seam.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment. Fold to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
