From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: FACINGS for the BACK PANEL neckline and FRONT PANEL neckline, SEAM ALLOWANCES along the BACK PANEL slit.

CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • Center BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
  • Side BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
  • Side FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
  • Center lower FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • Upper FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
  • SLEEVE - 2 QTY
  • BACK PANEL neckline FACING - 2 QTY
  • FRONT PANEL neckline FACING - 1 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the respective pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on the BACK PANEL pieces. Press darts towards the center of the piece.
  3. Serge the center back edge. Stitch the center seam from the NOTCH for the ZIPPER to the slit. Press the seam open, pressing the ZIPPER slit. Insert the ZIPPER from the top edge to the NOTCH.
  4. Stitch the princess seams of the BACK PANEL, press the seam towards the center and serge.
  5. Stitch darts on the upper FRONT PANEL. Press darts towards the center of the piece. Stitch the center edge of the upper FRONT PANEL strictly up to the attachment line of the lower part. Serge the seam and press to the right side.
  6. On the SIDE PANEL, stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Stitch the side and upper FRONT PANEL pieces together. Serge the seam and press upwards.
  7. Stitch the princess seams of the FRONT PANEL, positioning the gathers at waist level. Press the seam towards the center and serge.
  8. Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL.
  9. Stitch the FACING pieces. Press the seam open. Serge the outer edge of the FACINGS. Place the FACINGS with the neckline right sides together. Stop 5 mm before the edges of the invisible fastener, fold back the FACING and pin to the top edge of the dress. On the right side of the dress, fold back the SEAM ALLOWANCES along the ZIPPER and pin to the neckline edge over the FACING. Stitch the neckline edge. Clip the seam allowances at curves, turn the pieces right side out and press. Fold the SEAM ALLOWANCES along the fastener to the wrong side and attach to the ZIPPER tape.
  10. Stitch the SLEEVE seam. Press the seam and serge. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching the NOTCHES. Press the seam and serge.
  11. Press the hem allowance of the dress and SLEEVE hem to the wrong side, serge and hem with invisible stitches. Hem the sides of the slit with invisible stitches.
