CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • 3. Pocket – 2 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Mark and stitch the bust and waist darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press the bust darts upwards, and the waist darts towards the center of the FRONT PANEL.
  2. Mark and stitch the darts on the BACK PANEL. Press the darts towards the center of the BACK PANEL.
  3. Press the upper edge of the pocket first by 1 cm, then by another 2 cm. Topstitch the upper allowance with a double stitch at 0.1 and 0.7 cm. Press the side and bottom edges of the pocket by 1 cm. Topstitch the pocket onto the BACK PANEL according to the markings with a double stitch.
  4. Stitch the center seam of the BACK PANEL, press open and overcast.
  5. Finish the upper edges of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL with BIAS BINDING.
  6. Overcast the edges of the left side seam. Stitch the left side seam from the NOTCH for the ZIPPER to the hem. Press the seam open. Insert the ZIPPER.
  7. Finish the armhole edges with BIAS BINDING, forming a strap. Adjust the strap length during fitting.
  8. Stitch the right side seam. Press the seam towards the BACK PANEL and overcast.
  9. Overcast 2 buttonholes at the bottom of the dress near the left side seam. Press the hem allowances of the garment by 1 cm, then by another 2 cm. Thread the cord through the stopper, then insert it into the buttonholes and secure it on the wrong side of the garment near the right side seam allowance. Topstitch the hem.
