Sewing Instructions

  1. Mark and stitch the bust and waist darts on the Front. Press the bust darts upwards, and the waist darts towards the center front.
  2. Mark and stitch the darts on the Back. Press the darts towards the center back.
  3. Press the upper edge of the Pocket under by 1 cm, then by another 2 cm. Topstitch the upper allowance with a double row of stitching at 0.1 and 0.7 cm. Press the side and bottom edges of the Pocket under by 1 cm. Topstitch the Pockets onto the Back along the markings with a double row of stitching.
  4. Stitch the center back seam, press and overlock.
  5. Finish the upper edges of the Back and Front with bias binding.
  6. Overlock the edges of the left side seam. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper notch to the hem. Press the seam open. Insert the zipper.
  7. Bind the armhole edges with bias binding, extending it to form the straps. Adjust the strap length at a fitting beforehand.
  8. Stitch the right side seam. Press the seam towards the back and overlock.
  9. Make 2 buttonholes at the bottom of the dress near the left side seam. Press the hem allowance under by 1 cm, then by another 2 cm.
