Key Design Features

Sleeves: Sleeveless design with a neatly finished armhole, offering a clean and modern aesthetic.

Back: A clean, unadorned back with a center back seam, maintaining the dress's streamlined profile.

Length: Designed to fall to a versatile knee-length, suitable for various occasions.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires skills in working with knit fabrics, constructing a gathered front panel, assembling a ring collar, and creating a decorative bow.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose knit fabrics with a low to medium degree of stretch for optimal drape and comfort:

  • Low or medium stretch knit fabrics

Additional Supplies

  • Silk fabric for trim

CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 2. Center FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • 3. SIDE PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 4. COLLAR – 1 QTY
  • 5. Bow – 1 QTY

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics should be sewn with a special elastic stitch or immediately sewn on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker. The hem allowance should be topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the center back seam of the BACK PANEL, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES to the left side and overlock.

  3. Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overlock.
  4. Overlock the armhole SEAM ALLOWANCES, press to the wrong side and topstitch.

  6. Overlock the lower edge SEAM ALLOWANCE, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  7. Fold the bow in half lengthwise with right sides together and stitch along three sides, leaving an opening for turning. Turn the bow right side out, baste, and press. Sew the opening closed. Attach the bow to the COLLAR and tie.
