All markings on the pattern pieces are applied to the right side of the fabric.
- From main fabric:
- 1. Left back side - 1 qty
- 2. Center back - 1 qty
- 3. Right back side - 1 qty
- 4. Left front side – 1 qty
- 5. Center front - 1 qty
- 6. Right front side - 1 qty
- 7. Flounce - 1 qty
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch bust darts on the front side panels. Press dart depths upwards.
- Form pleats on the flounce, with depths directed towards the center of the piece, and secure at the upper edge. Along the upper edge of the flounce, stitch with loosely tensioned stitches to gather. Serge the lower edge of the flounce, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Attach the left back side to the Center back, press seam allowances towards the center piece and serge. Attach the flounce to the left back side, press seam allowances towards the flounce and serge.
- Attach the left front side to the Center front, press seam allowances towards the center piece and serge. Attach the flounce to the left front side, press seam allowances towards the flounce and serge.
- Stitch the shoulder seam, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
- Attach the right back side to the Center back and flounce, and the right front side to the Center front and flounce with one seam. Press seam allowances towards the respective center pieces and the flounce and serge.
- Serge the left side edges of the back and front. Insert the zipper from the upper edge to the notch. Fold back the lower of the zipper and stitch the side edge from the notch downwards. Press the seam allowances open.
- Cut a bias binding strip from the main fabric, equal to the length of the upper edge and 4 cm wide. Press it in half lengthwise, right side out, align with the upper edge and stitch. Fold the trim strip to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold.
- Stitch the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back and serge. Tip: You can also use ready-made bias binding for finishing the upper edge.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
