- 1. Upper back – 1 qty
- 2. Lower back – 1 qty
- 3. Back Insert – 1 qty
- 4. Upper front – 2 qty
- 5. Lower front – 1 qty
- 6. Front Insert – 1 qty
- 7. Lower right front – 1 qty
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic stitch or directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity.
Sewing Instructions
- Along the side edges of the back and front inserts, sew a stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather to the indicated size (on the insert pattern piece).
- Attach the back insert to the upper back, press seam allowances towards the insert. Attach the lower back to the back insert, press seam allowances towards the insert.
- Fold and stitch pleats for 3 – 4 cm according to the markings on the upper front and on the lower right front.
- On the integrated facing piece, clip the seam allowance at the shoulder seam and overlock the shoulder edge seam allowance and the inner edge of the facing. Press the facing to the wrong side according to the markings. Overlock the edge of the integrated facing on the lower right front. Press the facing to the wrong side according to the markings.
- Overlap the right upper front onto the left and secure them along the lower edge. Attach the front insert to the upper, press seam allowances towards the insert.
- Overlap the right lower front onto the lower front and secure them along the upper edge. Attach the lower front to the front insert, press seam allowances towards the insert.
- Clip the seam allowance at the shoulder seam on the front. Stitch the shoulder edges of the back and front. Press seams towards the back.
- Stitch the center edge of the collar. Fold the collar in half, wrong side in, align the edges and stitch into the neckline of the back.
- Overlock the sleeve allowance, press to the wrong side. Unfold the allowance and along the fold, between the notches, sew a stitch with elastic thread, placing the elastic on the wrong side. Fold the allowance to the wrong side and topstitch. Overlock the lower allowance of the lower right front, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Stitch the side edges, press seam allowances towards the back.
- Overlock the lower edge of the garment. Fold to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
