Sewing Instructions
- Overlock the armhole edges, the bottom edge of the dress, and the side and bottom edges of the FACING.
- Place the FACING and the dress right sides together and stitch the top edge. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES.
- Press the armhole SEAM ALLOWANCE and the side edge of the FACING to the wrong side and topstitch 0.5 - 0.7 cm from the edge. Press the bottom edge SEAM ALLOWANCE to the wrong side and topstitch 0.5 - 0.7 cm from the edge.
- Cut elastic 2 – 3 cm shorter than the armhole edge, insert it into the created casing, and secure.
- Fold the FACING to the wrong side and topstitch it to the dress along the bottom edge.
- Stitch the center BACK PANEL edge. Press and overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES.
- Cut a bow 13 cm wide and approximately 2 meters long. Fold the piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long side and one short side. Turn the bow right side out, tuck the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the unstitched section inside, and topstitch 0.1 cm from the edge. Tip: The armhole SEAM ALLOWANCE can also be topstitched using elastic thread. Hat elastic is not needed in this case.
