Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the plackets, upper COLLAR, and outer stand.
  2. Place the upper COLLAR and lower COLLAR right sides together. Stitch the ends and the outer edge of the COLLAR. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Turn the COLLAR right side out, shape, and press. Place the stand pieces right sides together, insert the prepared COLLAR between them, align the NOTCHES, and stitch, simultaneously stitching the ends of the stand. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked line of the stand attachment seam. Turn the prepared COLLAR right side out and press.
  3. On the lower FRONT PANEL, create and stitch the pleats along the marked lines. Note: the pleat depths are directed towards the edge, and the folds are directed towards the side seam. Press the pleats.
  4. Along the lower edge of the upper FRONT PANEL, between the NOTCHES, stitch with loose stitches and gather. Stitch the upper and lower FRONT PANELs together. Overlock the seam and press it upwards.
  5. Place the plackets right sides together and stitch the pieces along the outer edge. Turn the plackets right side out and press. Attach the outer placket to the FRONT PANEL. Press the seam towards the placket. Fold the inner placket inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  6. Stitch the darts on the BACK PANEL. Press the darts towards the center seam. Stitch the center seam of the BACK PANEL. Overlock the seam and press. Attach the yoke to the BACK PANEL. Overlock the seam and press upwards.
  7. Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Overlock the seams and press them towards the BACK PANEL.
  8. Attach the upper stand with the COLLAR to the neckline, fold the open edge of the lower stand inwards, and topstitch into the attachment seam of the upper stand.
  9. Stitch and overlock the SLEEVE edges. Finish the bottom of the SLEEVE with a rolled hem. Sew elastic 1.5 cm from the bottom. The length of the elastic is the arm circumference minus 1 cm. Along the SLEEVE cap, stitch with loose stitches and gather. Attach the SLEEVES to the armholes. Overlock the seam and press towards the SLEEVE.
  10. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
  11. On the right FRONT PANEL, make buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
