CUTTER'S MUST
- BACK PANEL – 1 QTY
- FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
- Lower part – 2 QTY
- SLEEVE – 2 QTY
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also sew the pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge the seams and press them towards the BACK PANEL.
- Serge the side and bottom edges of the lower part. Fold and topstitch the bottom edge first, then the side edges.
- Place the lower part and the FRONT PANEL right sides together, aligning the corresponding NOTCHES. Please note: the length of the BODICE edge is 2 cm longer than the lower part edge (1 cm on each side). This is normal. Attach the lower part to the upper part, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES downwards and serge.
- Stitch the SLEEVE seams. Serge the seams and press.
- Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, aligning the NOTCHES. Serge the seams and press.
- Serge the neckline edge, fold and topstitch.
