CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- BACK PANEL – 1 QTY
- FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
- BACK FACING – 1 QTY
- FRONT FACING – 1 QTY
Sewing Instructions
- Mark and stitch the bust darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press darts upwards.
- Stitch the side seams. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
- Stitch the side seams of the FACINGS, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open and serge. Serge the bottom edge of the FACING.
- Cut four BIAS BINDING strips from the main fabric, 3 cm wide and approximately 70 cm long. Fold them in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long edge 0.5 cm from the edge. Turn the straps right side out and straighten.
- Put on the garment and adjust the length and position of the straps according to the sketch.
- Place the FACING and the garment right sides together and stitch the upper edge, inserting the straps. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at curves and corners, turn the FACING right side out, straighten, and press. Topstitch the FACING to the garment 0.5 – 0.7 cm from the serged edge.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
