Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the cut-on front plackets, the upper Collar and the inner Stand Collar.
- Place the upper and lower Collar pieces right sides together. Stitch the ends and the outer edge of the collar. Trim the seam allowances. Turn the collar right side out, shape, and press. Place the Stand Collar pieces right sides together, sandwich the finished collar between them, align the notches, and stitch, simultaneously stitching the ends of the stand. Start and end the stitching exactly at the marked neckline seam line. Turn the finished collar right side out and press.
- On each Front, fold the first pleat along the marked lines, right sides together. Stitch the pleat from the wrong side, from the neckline down to the cross mark. Make the remaining 3 pleats in the same way. Press the pleats towards the center of the front, as shown in the illustration.
- Stitch the darts on the front panels. Press the waist darts towards the center of the front, and the bust darts upwards. Stitch the darts on the back. Press the darts towards the center seam. Stitch the center seam of the back. Overlock and press the seam.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Overlock the seams and press them towards the back. Fold the cut-on plackets twice to the right side and topstitch along their inner edge.
- Stitch the outer Stand Collar with the Collar to the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the inner Stand Collar and stitch it in the ditch of the attaching seam. Topstitch along the stand and collar.
- Stitch and overlock the sleeve seams. Set in the sleeves, easing the cap.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- On the right front, work buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
