    2. FACING - 2 QTY
  • From LINING fabric:
    1. LINING - 2 QTY
  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
    1. FACING – 2 QTY

ATTENTION! Skirt pieces are cut without symmetry. Either 2 right pieces or 2 left pieces, depending on the direction of the pleats. 2 symmetrical pieces are NOT ALLOWED!

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the skirt FACINGS with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Stitch the right side seam. Overcast the seam and press towards the back.
  3. Mark the pleats on the skirt and stitch along the marked line. From the wrong side, press the pleats from left to right.
  4. Stitch the left side seam from the fastener mark downwards. Press the seam open, pressing the SEAM ALLOWANCE for the fastener, and overcast. Place the ZIPPER under the fastener SEAM ALLOWANCES and stitch so that the teeth are not visible.
  5. Stitch the FACING to the LINING. Overcast the seam and press. Stitch the side seams of the LINING, leaving an opening for turning 15-20 cm long in the right side seam. Stitch the left side seam from the fastener mark downwards. Press the seams open and overcast.
  6. Place the skirt and LINING right sides together and stitch along the upper edge. Trim any excess pleats extending beyond the seam line. Topstitch the stitching seam onto the FACING 0.2 cm from the stitching seam. Fold the LINING to the wrong side and press.
  7. Along the bottom edge of the skirt, make a stitch with loosely tensioned stitches. Gather the edge to the length of the LINING's bottom edge, distributing the gathers evenly. Through the opening in the right side seam, turn the skirt to the wrong side and stitch the bottom edges of the skirt and LINING. Press the seam and overcast. Turn the skirt to the right side.
  8. Sew the LINING to the ZIPPER. Stitch the opening in the seam closed.
