Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the COLLAR piece with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Fold the COLLAR in half lengthwise, right sides together. Insert the ZIPPER between the short sides with the teeth facing inwards and stitch the FACING. Turn the COLLAR right side out, straighten, and press. Stitch a topstitch along the ZIPPER and the upper edge of the COLLAR.
- Stitch the square pieces together according to the overall design of the poncho. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
- Mark the neckline on the central square. Cut out the opening, leaving a 1 cm SEAM ALLOWANCE for attaching the COLLAR. Baste the COLLAR into the neckline.
- Mark the neckline on the LINING. Cut out the opening, leaving a 1 cm SEAM ALLOWANCE for attaching the COLLAR. Place the poncho and LINING right sides together and stitch the neckline, simultaneously attaching the COLLAR. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the curves. Stitch the FACING around the perimeter of the poncho, leaving an opening on one side for turning. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners. Turn the poncho right side out, sew up the technical opening, and press. Stitch a topstitch along the edge.
