Sewing Instructions
- Interface the faux leather parts with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Stitch the bust dart on the FRONT PANELs.
- Attach the FACING to the lower pocket bag. Place the pocket bag with the FACING on the right side of the BACK PANEL according to the NOTCHES. Place the upper pocket bag on the FRONT PANEL, right side down, and stitch. Fold the SEAM ALLOWANCE and topstitch onto the pocket bag.
- Attach the front SLEEVE part to the FRONT PANEL. Attach the back SLEEVE part to the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES together with the upper SLEEVE SEAM ALLOWANCES.
- Press the CUFF in half lengthwise, right side out. Attach the upper part of the CUFF to the lower SLEEVE edge.
- Stitch the lower SLEEVE edge and the side edge together with the pocket bags in one seam.
- Attach the lower FRONT PANEL plackets to the lower BACK PANEL placket. Press the lower plackets in half lengthwise, right side out. Attach the upper part of the placket to the lower edge of the jacket.
- Attach the ZIPPER to the edges of the outer front edge plackets. Attach the front edge plackets to the FRONT PANEL edges up to the lower edge SEAM ALLOWANCE.
- Stitch the center seam of the hood. Press the hood placket in half lengthwise, right side out. Attach the upper part of the placket to the outer edge of the hood. Fold the placket in half lengthwise, right side in, and stitch the lower corners, not catching the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the inner placket edge. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, turn the placket right side out.
- Set the hood into the jacket neckline.
- Stitch the LINING parts similarly to the main fabric parts, leaving an opening in the lower seam of the left SLEEVE for turning. Attach the LINING to the lower placket edge, placing them right sides together. Attach the inner front edge placket to the LINING edges up to the lower edge SEAM ALLOWANCE.
- Place the LINING and jacket right sides together and stitch the lower corner of the front edge placket, the front edge, and the inner edge of the hood. Finish the lower SLEEVE edge with the LINING. Turn the jacket right side out through the opening in the SLEEVE. Secure the LINING to the garment along the center hood seam, the hood placket, the hood insertion seam, the CUFF, and the lower placket. Stitch the opening in the SLEEVE.
- Stitch a decorative and securing topstitch along the ZIPPER.
