- 11. Pocket – 2 QTY
- 12. Long Strap – 2 QTY
- 13. Short Strap – 2 QTY
- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: left lower and left upper plackets, right placket, upper collar, upper collar stand, upper flap.
Sewing Instructions
- Interface the left and right plackets, upper collar, upper collar stand, and 2 flap pieces with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Stitch darts on the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Press darts towards the center of the piece.
- Fold the strap pieces in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long and short sides. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES, turn right side out, and press. Topstitch along the edge of the strap. Place the short strap on the armhole according to the NOTCHES and baste.
- Fold the flap pieces right sides together and stitch. Trim the corner SEAM ALLOWANCES of the flap and turn right side out. Straighten seams and press. Overlock the raw edge of the flap. Mark the placement of the chest pocket. Attach the flap to the FRONT PANEL, turn down, and topstitch.
- Create a box pleat on the pocket. Press the upper SEAM ALLOWANCE of the pocket to the wrong side, fold, and topstitch. Press the side and bottom SEAM ALLOWANCES of the pocket to the wrong side. Place pockets on the FRONT PANEL according to the NOTCHES. Topstitch the patch pockets.
- Fold the COLLAR pieces right sides together and stitch along the ends and outer edge. Trim, turn out the collar corners. Stitch the collar stand pieces together, inserting the COLLAR between them. Turn right side out, press the finished COLLAR.
- Press the outer edges of the right and left plackets to the wrong side. Stitch the lower and upper parts of the left placket together. Place the left and right plackets on the right sides of the FRONT PANELS, right side down, and stitch along the front edge. Attach the lower edges of the plackets to the FRONT PANELS strictly along the marked hemline. Turn the front edges right side out, straighten seams, and press. Topstitch the inner edge of the plackets to the FRONT PANEL. Secure the neckline edge of the FRONT PANEL with the plackets.
- Fold the raw edge of the long strap and topstitch it above the flap into the placket topstitching seam.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the blouse. Press seams towards the BACK PANEL and overlock.
- Attach the lower collar stand with the COLLAR to the neckline, fold the raw edge of the upper collar stand, and topstitch into the seam of the lower collar stand attachment. Topstitch along the COLLAR.
- Stitch and overlock the SLEEVE edges. Set in the SLEEVES, easing the cap.
- Overlock the hem of the garment and SLEEVES, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- On the right FRONT PANEL, attach the upper parts of the snaps, and on the left FRONT PANEL - the lower parts. Secure buckles on the short straps, and attach eyelets on the long straps.
