Fabric & Materials
Pattern pieces made from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
Cutting Plan
From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece
- Front – 1 piece
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch shoulder and side seams of the back and front. Serge seams and press towards the back.
- Stitch sleeve seams. Serge seams and press.
- Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches. Serge seams and press.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, the bottom edge of the sleeve, and the neckline edge. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
