Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the front facing, upper collar stand, upper collar, and cuff.
  2. Mark and stitch darts on the back. Press darts towards the center back. Mark and stitch the dart on the lower front piece. Press the dart on the front piece towards the center front.
  3. Fuse interfacing to the integrated placket of the lower front piece. Overlock the lower edge of the upper blouse piece slightly past the mark and the upper edge of the lower blouse piece. Overlock the center edge of the lower blouse piece.
  4. Stitch the lower and upper front pieces up to the notch. Press seams open.
  5. Overlock the inner edge of the front facing. Stitch the front facings to the front edges, trim excess fabric at the corners, and turn the facings right side out.
  6. Fold the integrated facing to the wrong side and stitch the upper corner. Turn to the right side and press.
  7. Stitch and overlock the side and shoulder seams of the blouse. Press the side and shoulder seams of the blouse towards the back.
  8. Place collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the contour. Trim corners and turn the collar right side out. Press the collar. Stitch the collar stands, inserting the collar between them. Turn the collar stand right side out and press.
  9. Attach the lower collar stand with the collar to the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the upper collar stand, and topstitch into the seam of the lower collar stand attachment.
  10. Overlock the sleeve edges. Stitch up to the notch for the vent and press the sleeve seams open. Topstitch along the vent 0.2 cm from the fold. Stitch with loose tension threads and gather the lower sleeve edge (the length of the gathered sleeve hem is indicated on the pattern).
  11. Fold the cuff right sides together and stitch. Turn the cuff right side out, trimming the corners. Attach the upper cuff to the lower sleeve edge. Fold the raw edge of the lower cuff to the wrong side and topstitch into the seam of the upper cuff attachment. Set in the sleeves, easing the sleeve cap. Overlock the armhole seam.
  12. Overlock the blouse hem, fold the allowance to the wrong side, and topstitch.
  13. Mark buttonhole placement and make buttonholes on the right front, and sew buttons on the left front. Mark button placement and sew buttons on the cuff. Fold the cuff in half, aligning the side edges, and sew buttons through both layers from both sides.
