Key Design Features

Length: Floor length; hem overlocked, turned up and topstitched 0.5 cm from the edge.

Neckline: V-shaped front: a centre front panel framed by narrow middle front panels, side front panels and front facing bands seamed on the outside; the back has a straight top edge with a back facing band seamed on.

Back: One-piece back bodice; the shoulders and upper back are left bare.

Closure: Invisible zip in the left side seam, running through the bodice and the top of the skirt.

Waist: Raised waist seam, pressed towards the bodice.

Skirt: Flared, front and back pieces joined at the side seams.

Finishing: Two narrow turned-through straps, sewn to the front neckline, crossed behind the neck and attached to the back after a fitting.

Lining: Bodice lined with the same pieces, understitched at the top edge, attached to the zip tape and stitched into the waist seam. The main fabric can be used as lining.

Level Of Difficulty
