Corset-Inspired Blouse-Jacket

Introducing a sophisticated blouse-jacket pattern featuring a tailored, corset-inspired waist and gracefully puffed sleeves, blending structure with feminine drape.

When To Wear

This versatile blouse-jacket is designed for various occasions, making it an excellent choice for:

  • Casual Chic: Pair with high-waisted trousers or skirts for an elevated everyday ensemble.
  • Spring & Summer Events: Its light appearance and defined silhouette are perfect for garden parties or stylish daytime gatherings.
  • Office to Evening: Transitions seamlessly from a professional daytime setting to an elegant evening out.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Fitted through the bodice with a strongly cinched, structured waist, balanced by a more relaxed upper body.

Neckline: A deep V-neckline framed by a structured stand collar, creating an elegant and sharp neckline.

Closure: Front button placket on the corset-inspired waist panel, secured with four functional buttons.

Sleeves: Short, gathered puff sleeves creating soft volume and a gentle drape.

Waist: A prominent, wide, corset-inspired band defines the waist, intricately structured with multiple vertical seams for a tailored fit.

Bodice: The upper front bodice features elegant gathers at the waistline, flowing smoothly into the V-neck.

Back: Fitted back designed with a center seam and princess seams for precise shaping.

Hem: Straight hem finishing at the natural waistline for a neat, cropped look.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires confident sewing skills, including accurate seaming for princess seams and gathers, precise collar stand construction, and careful buttonhole placement.
