Key Design Features

Silhouette: An a-line midi skirt, gracefully flowing from the waist to just below the knee.

Waist: A wide, shaped yoke at the front and back, finished with inner facings (no separate waistband).

Front: Features a multi-paneled construction with distinct vertical and horizontal seam lines, creating subtle shaping and structure.

Pockets: Curved slant pockets set into the side front panels, with topstitched openings and visible topstitching along the pocket linings.

Back: a distinctive center back panel features ruching, achieved by threading a decorative cord through bias casings and buttonholes, creating gathers that add texture and visual interest.

Closure: a zipper in the left side seam.

Hem: a clean, straight hemline finishes at a sophisticated midi length.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires skills in paneled construction, slant pocket construction, zipper application, and creating ruched details.

First print the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (90–150 cm) to determine how much fabric you need. Match the notches when stitching!
