- 2. Side FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
- 3. Small pocket LINING – 2 QTY
- 4. Large pocket LINING – 2 QTY
- 5. Front yoke – 1 QTY
- 6. Front FACING – 1 QTY
- 7. Center BACK PANEL – 1 QTY
- 8. Side BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
- 9. Back yoke – 1 QTY
- 10. Back FACING – 1 QTY
- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: Front FACING, Back FACING.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the front FACING and back FACING.
- Place the side FRONT PANEL and the small pocket LINING right sides together. Stitch around the pocket opening. Turn the LINING to the wrong side and topstitch along the pocket opening 0.5 cm from the edge. Mark the pocket placement on the large pocket LINING. Align the side FRONT PANEL with the markings. Stitch and serge the bottom edges of the LINING. Secure the pocket along the side edges.
- Stitch the side FRONT PANEL to the center FRONT PANEL. Serge the seam and press towards the center FRONT PANEL. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
- In the middle of the center BACK PANEL, mark and serge buttonholes for the drawstring. Cut a drawstring casing from the main fabric on a 45-degree BIAS. Serge the casing along the contour. Mark the casing placement on the center BACK PANEL. Topstitch the long edges of the casing to the center BACK PANEL. Insert the drawstring into the casing and buttonholes.
- Stitch the side BACK PANEL to the center BACK PANEL. Serge the seam and press towards the center BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the yoke to the BACK PANEL. Press the seam towards the back yoke. Stitch the yoke to the FRONT PANEL. Press the seam towards the front yoke.
- Serge the side edges of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Stitch the side seams of the skirt, leaving an opening in the left side seam for the ZIPPER. Press open the side seams, press the ZIPPER openings. Insert the ZIPPER.
- Stitch and press open the side seam of the FACINGS. Serge the outer edge of the FACINGS.
- Place the FACINGS with the upper edge of the skirt right sides together and stitch. Topstitch the stitching seam onto the interfaced yokes 0.2 cm from the stitching seam. Turn the FACINGS to the wrong side and press the upper stitched edge of the skirt. Fold the side edges of the back FACINGS and hand-stitch to the ZIPPER. Topstitch the serged edge of the FACINGS into the yoke attachment seam.
- Serge the bottom edge of the skirt, fold up and topstitch.
