Sewing Instructions
- Finish the bottom edges of the FLOUNCES, gussets, and dress parts with a rolled hem.
- Align and baste the side edges of the gusset and its corresponding FLOUNCE.
- Stitch the gusset to the right center FRONT PANEL, overcast the stitching seam 4 cm above the NOTCH. Stitch the center edge of the FRONT PANEL and the side edge of the gusset. Overcast the center seam and the side edge of the gusset. Press the center seam of the FRONT PANEL, pressing the gusset. Remove temporary basting threads.
- Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Overcast the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL, press the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL towards the center of the FRONT PANEL, and on the BACK PANEL towards the center of the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the gusset to the left center BACK PANEL, overcast the stitching seam. Overcast: the center edge of the left center BACK PANEL together with the gusset and the center edge of the right center BACK PANEL. Stitch the center edge of the BACK PANEL and the side edge of the gusset up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Press open the center edge of the BACK PANEL, press the slits. Remove temporary basting threads. Insert the ZIPPER.
- Stitch the gusset to the side BACK PANEL, overcast the stitching seam 4 cm above the NOTCH. Stitch the side seams and the side edge of the gusset. Remove temporary basting threads. Press the side seams of the dress.
- Overcast, stitch, and press open the shoulder seam of the dress.
- Cut the strap. Fold the strap lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch 0.5 cm from the fold. Turn the strap right side out and press. Sew the strap to the neckline of the FRONT PANEL.
- Put on the dress, adjust the strap length, and sew the back end to the BACK PANEL.
- Cut the TRIM STRIP pieces along the marked line and stitch them into one continuous strip to the desired length. Finish the edge of the TRIM STRIP with a rolled hem.
- Finish the neckline and armhole edges with a FLOUNCE. Overcast the finishing seam and topstitch it onto the dress 0.2 cm from the finishing seam.
