Cutting Plan

• From main fabric:
• 1. Front Yoke – 2 pieces
• 2. Shaped Front Insert – 2 pieces
• 3. Front Center Piece – 1 piece
• 4. Front Side Piece – 2 pieces
• 5. Back Yoke – 1 piece
• 6. Shaped Back Insert – 1 piece
• 7. Back Side Piece – 2 pieces
• 8. Back Center Piece – 1 piece
• 9. Front Facing – 1 piece
• 10. Back Facing – 1 piece

FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: back facing, front facing.

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the back facing and front facing.
2. Stitch the front side piece to the front center piece. Overcast the seam allowance and press towards the front center.
3. Stitch the shaped front insert to the lower front piece. Overcast the seam allowance and press towards the lower front piece.
4. Stitch the front yoke to the lower front piece. Overcast the seam allowance and press towards the lower front piece.
5. Stitch the back side piece to the back center piece. Overcast the seam allowance and press towards the back center piece.
6. Stitch the shaped back insert to the lower back piece. Overcast the seam allowance and press towards the lower back piece.
7. Stitch the back yoke to the lower back piece. Overcast the seam allowance and press towards the lower back piece.
8. Overcast the side edges of the front and back. Stitch and press open the side seams of the top, leaving an opening in the left side seam for the zipper. Press the zipper opening. Stitch and press open the shoulder seams of the top.
9. Stitch and press open the shoulder and right side seams of the front and back facings. Overcast the inner edge of the facings.
10. Insert the zipper into the left side seam of the top. Place the front and back facings right sides together with the top, aligning the neckline and shaped cutout edges. Stitch the armhole edge, the front and back neckline edge, and the shaped front cutout, leaving openings for the ring. Understitch the armhole and neckline seam allowances of the top to the facings at 0.2 cm from the seam, stopping 5 cm before the left side seam. Turn under the left side edge of the facing and stitch to the zipper allowance. Turn out and press the left side seam of the top. Topstitch 1 cm from the edge of the shaped front cutout. Insert the ring.
11. Overcast the lower edge of the top, fold up, press and topstitch.
