Fabric & Materials

FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: FACING, upper COLLAR, stand, CUFF.

CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. COLLAR - 2 QTY
  • 2. Stand – 2 QTY
  • 3. BACK PANEL – 1 QTY
  • 4. FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 5. FACING - 2 QTY
  • 6. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
  • 7. CUFF – 2 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the FACING, upper COLLAR, stand, and CUFF with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Mark and stitch darts on the FRONT PANEL. Mark and stitch waist darts on the BACK PANEL. Press darts towards the center.
  3. Serge the inner edge of the FACING.
  4. Face the edges with FACINGS, trim excess fabric at corners, and turn out the FACINGS. Press the edges.
  5. Stitch shoulder and side SEAM ALLOWANCES. Serge shoulder and side seams. Press shoulder and side seams towards the BACK PANEL. Secure FACINGS at shoulder seams with a 1 cm tack.
  6. Serge SLEEVE edges separately. Stitch the SLEEVE seam up to the NOTCH. Press open the SLEEVE seam. Press the slit and topstitch at a distance of 0.5 cm.
  7. Set in SLEEVES, easing at the cap.
  8. Face the lower COLLAR with the upper COLLAR, turn out the COLLAR.
  9. Stitch the stands, inserting the COLLAR between them.
  10. Set the lower stand with the COLLAR into the neckline, turn under the open edge of the upper stand and topstitch into the seam of the lower stand.
  11. Face the side edges of the CUFF and turn it out. Press the CUFF into its finished shape.
  12. Form pleats at the bottom of the SLEEVE. Attach the upper one-piece CUFF to the lower edge of the SLEEVE, and turn under and topstitch the lower one-piece CUFF.
  13. Serge, hem, and topstitch the bottom of the garment.
  14. On the right FRONT PANEL, serge buttonholes, and on the left FRONT PANEL, sew on buttons.
