Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the Stand Collar.
  2. Stitch the princess seams on the front and back. Overlock the princess seams and press them towards the center.
  3. Press the seam allowances of the bottom and side edges of the Front Trimming to the wrong side. Place the Front Trimming on the Center Front and stitch around the slit line, 0.3 cm wide. Cut the slit in the Center Front. Turn the Front Trimming through to the right side of the front and press the slit. Baste the Front Trimming to the front with diagonal stitches and topstitch its bottom and side edges 0.2 cm from the edge. Remove the basting.
  4. Overlock the side and shoulder edges. Stitch the shoulder and side seams of the blouse, leaving an opening for the zipper in the left side seam. Press the shoulder and side seams open.
  5. Overlock the center back edges and stitch the center back seam. Press the seam allowances towards the right back.
  6. Press the lower edge of one Stand Collar under by 1 cm. Stitch the Stand Collar pieces together along the outer edge. Trim the seam allowances at the rounded ends, turn the collar right side out and press. Stitch the unpressed edge of the collar to the neckline, then topstitch the pressed edge over the seam.
  7. Insert the zipper into the left side seam.
  8. Overlock the outer edge of the Sleeve, turn it under and topstitch. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching the notches. Overlock the seam and the remaining armhole edge. Turn under and topstitch the lower part of the armhole edge.
  9. Overlock the bottom of the garment. Press up the 2 cm hem and topstitch.
  10. Sew the cord loop on the right front and the button on the left.
