CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. Center FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 2. Placket – 2 QTY
  • 3. Side FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 4. Center BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • 5. Side BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: placket.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the placket.
  2. Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Overlock the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Press the princess seams towards the center. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the princess seams.
  3. Stitch and overlock the center back seam. Press the center back seam towards the right BACK PANEL. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
  4. Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Overlock the side and shoulder seams. Press the side and shoulder seams towards the BACK PANEL. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seams.
  5. Overlock: the neckline edge of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL, the armhole edge, and the lower edge of the corset. Topstitch the overlocked edges onto the corset 0.5 cm from the edge.
  6. Press the outer edge of the placket by 1 cm. Fold the placket in half lengthwise, right sides together, and press. Stitch the upper and lower corners of the placket. Trim excess fabric at the corners and turn the placket right side out. Press the placket. Stitch the unpressed edge of the placket to the center edge of the center FRONT PANEL.
  7. Cut a TRIM STRIP for the loops, 3 cm wide, from the main fabric. Fold the strip lengthwise and stitch 0.5 cm from the fold, stitching one end. Turn the strip right side out and press. Cut the loops from the strip, 6 cm each.
  8. Baste the loops to the pressed edge of the placket. Topstitch the placket to the center FRONT PANEL. Remove temporary basting threads. Fold the loops towards the center of the FRONT PANEL and topstitch them onto the placket. Thread a cord through the loops.
