  • For dinners and evenings out in warm weather.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Fitted above the under-bust seam with darts on the front and back, loose below it.

Length: Hip length, with slits in the side seams and a 2 cm topstitched hem.

Neckline: Round neckline with a shaped V-slit at the centre front; the slit and the neckline are bound with bias binding.

Back: Upper and lower back in two halves with a centre back seam and a zip at the neck. Elastic is stitched to the under-bust seam from the bust dart to 5 cm short of the centre back seam.

Finishing: Seams overlocked; shoulder seams pressed towards the back; side seams pressed open.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Bias-bound neckline slit with a mitred point, a zip in the centre back seam, elastic shirring on the sleeves and at the under-bust seam, all on fine silk.
