Pattern #5422
Tech. Description

Drawstring Neck Blouse

Introducing a versatile women's sewing pattern for a relaxed blouse featuring a chic drawstring neckline and dramatic bell sleeves.

When To Wear

This stylish blouse offers an elegant yet comfortable option for various occasions, making it ideal for:

  • Everyday Elegance: Perfect for a polished daily look, easily dressed up or down for work or leisure.
  • Casual Outings & Gatherings: a comfortable yet fashionable choice for brunch, shopping, or social events.
  • Transitional Styling: Ideal for layering during changing seasons or as a standalone statement piece with a contemporary flair.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a relaxed fit through the body, designed for comfort and ease of movement, creating a graceful drape.

Neckline: a gentle rounded neckline transitions into a central V-slit, finished with a functional drawstring that allows for adjustable gathering and decorative styling.

Closure: An adjustable drawstring at the front neckline provides both a design element and the ability to customize the fit around the décolletage.

Sleeves: Long, set-in sleeves that dramatically widen from the elbow down, forming a striking and fluid bell-sleeve silhouette.

Back: a clean back design features subtle shaping darts to ensure a flattering and well-fitted drape.

Length: Finishes at hip length, offering versatility for styling either untucked or partially tucked.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. This pattern involves techniques such as creating a drawstring channel, setting in sleeves with ease, and managing fine fabrics for a refined finish.
