  • Zipper
  • Bias binding

Cutter's Must

  • From main fabric:
    1. Collar - 2 qty
    2. Back – 2 qty
    3. Upper front - 2 qty
    4. Lower front - 1 qty
  • From fusible interfacing: upper collar.

Sewing Instructions

Tip: To keep the material in the areas of finished seams stretchy, stitch the cut pieces with a narrow zigzag or special stretchy stitch. To keep the bottom edge stretchy, the hem should be overlocked with an overlock stitch, and then stitched using a twin needle. The same applies to finishing other edges of the garment that should not lose elasticity. These recommendations do not apply to industrial production.

  1. Fuse the upper collar with fusible interfacing.
  2. Mark the dart on the back and stitch. Press the dart towards the center of the back.
  3. Stitch the center seam of the back. Overlock the center seam of the back and press towards the right back.
  4. Finish the decorative neckline of the top with bias binding. Overlock the center edge of the front. Stitch the center seam of the front up to the notch. Press open the center seam of the front.
  5. Create shallow pleats on the upper front and attach the lower front. Overlock the attachment seam and press towards the upper front.
  6. Stitch the shoulder seams of the top. Overlock the seams and press towards the back.
  7. Overlock the side edges of the top. Stitch the side seams, leaving an opening in the left side seam for the zipper. Press open the side seams, pressing the zipper opening.
  8. Finish the lower collar with the upper collar, turn the collar right side out, trim the corners, and press, forming a neat edge from the upper collar.
  9. Attach the collar to the neckline, turn under the open edge of the upper collar and topstitch into the seam of the lower collar attachment.
  10. Overlock the armhole edge of the front and back. Press the overlocked seam allowances and topstitch at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge of the hem or bind the armhole edge with bias binding.
  11. Insert the zipper into the left side seam.
  12. On the right front, sew a loop, and on the left, a button.
  13. Overlock the bottom of the top, press, and topstitch to the garment.
