Tech. Description

Elasticized Off-Shoulder Blouse

This women's sewing pattern features a chic blouse with an elasticized off-shoulder neckline, short gathered sleeves, and an elasticated seam under the bust, creating a flattering blouson silhouette.

When To Wear:

This versatile blouse is perfect for light and comfortable wear, suitable for:

  • Casual Outings: Ideal for relaxed daytime activities, shopping, or brunch.
  • Summer & Holiday Wear: a breezy option for warm weather, vacations, or resort styling.
  • Relaxed Social Gatherings: Dress it up or down for informal get-togethers with friends or family.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Relaxed fit with a pleated upper bodice, a gathered midriff band and a softly flared lower part.

Neckline: Wide, gathered peasant-style neckline with elastic stitched along the edge; the top edges of the sleeves form part of the neckline, so it can be worn on or slightly off the shoulders.

Sleeves: Short puff sleeves with elastic threaded through the lower edge, creating gentle gathers and a feminine finish.

Waist: Elastic stitched into the seam between the middle and lower parts cinches the garment just above the natural waist, while the pleated upper part keeps a comfortable blouson drape.

Back: Designed to mirror the front, with the same upper, middle and lower parts, elasticated neckline and elasticated seam.

Length: Sits at the high hip, making it suitable for pairing with high-waisted bottoms.

Level Of Difficulty

Beginner. Involves basic straight stitching, seam finishing, and elastic insertion techniques.
