  • 1. Shaped front yoke - qty 4
  • 2. Center insert of front yoke – qty 2
  • 3. Front skirt half – qty 2
  • 4. Back skirt half - qty 2
  • 5. Back yoke – qty 4
  • From fusible interfacing: shaped yoke and center insert of front skirt half; back skirt half yoke.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the shaped yoke and center insert of the front skirt half; and the back yokes with fusible interfacing.
  2. Mark and stitch the darts on the back skirt half. Press the darts towards the center seam of the back.
  3. Stitch and serge the center seam of the front, press the seam to the right side of the front and topstitch at a distance of 0.2 cm from the stitching line.
  4. Stitch and serge the side seams, press the seam towards the back.
  5. Stitch and press open the side edges of the shaped front yoke and the back yoke. Serge the lower edge of the inner front and back yoke.
  6. Place the stitched yoke pieces right sides together. Stitch the yoke along the upper edge, leaving the center edge of the back yoke free. Trim the seam allowances of the rounded corners of the shaped front yoke and turn out. Press the yoke, straightening the seams.
  7. Place the center insert pieces right sides together and stitch along the upper edge. Press the stitching seam. Topstitch at a distance of 0.2 cm from the upper edge. Serge: the lower and side edges of the center insert.
  8. Attach the yoke to the skirt and serge in one step the center edge of the central of the back yoke and the center seam of the back. Stitch the center seam of the back up to the notch, which indicates the zipper insertion point. Press the seam open. Press the zipper openings and insert the zipper. Topstitch the serged edge of the yoke.
  9. Place the center insert of the front under the shaped front yoke and topstitch.
  10. Punch eyelets for the cord. Thread the cord and tie it. Serge the hem of the skirt, fold up and topstitch.
