- From fusible interfacing: center front.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the center front.
- Stitch and press open the princess seams of the front and back.
- Stitch and press open the side seams of the bodice.
- Stitch and press open the shoulder seams of the bodice.
- Place the interfaced center front face down onto the right side of the center front. Stitch the front edges and neckline of the front with the center front, stopping 5 cm before the shoulder edges.
- Stitch the lining pieces. Press the lining.
- Place the lining and bodice right sides together and stitch to the inner edges of the center front. Stitch the shoulder edges of the lining and the shoulder edges of the center front. Stitch the back neckline and the unstitched of the front neckline. Leave open sections of the armhole at the bottom, about 10cm long, and stitch the upper of the armhole. Trim seam allowances close to the stitching. Pull the front panels back through the shoulder tunnels and turn the bodice right side out through one of the open side seams. Stitch the lower of the armhole.
- Press the seam allowances for the bodice hem to the wrong side and hand stitch. Stitch the center front to the hem.
- On the right front, make buttonholes, and on the left front, sew on buttons.
- Mark and punch eyelets on the center back and thread the cord.
