  • From fusible interfacing: facing.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce with fusible interfacing: facing.
  2. Stitch the princess seams of the front: upper gore, upper insert 1, upper insert 2, center insert, diagonal insert. Overlock and press the seams. The assembly of the back is similar.
  3. Attach the right front flounce of the front to the diagonal insert, overlock and press the attachment seam.
  4. Attach the left front flounce to the left side, overlock and press the attachment seam.
  5. Attach the back gore to the diagonal insert of the back, overlock and press the attachment seam.
  6. Attach the back flounce to the back gore, overlock and press the attachment seam.
  7. Overlock the side edges of the front and back skirt halves. Stitch and press open the side seams of the front and back skirt halves, leaving an opening in the left skirt seam for the zipper.
  8. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side edge of the front and back facings. Overlock the outer edge of the facings and the left side edges of the facings.
  9. Overlock and press: the bottom edge of the right front flounce, the lower flounce, and the left front flounce. Topstitch the overlock edges onto the skirt. Overlock and press the center edge of the left front flounce and the left side. Topstitch the overlock allowance onto the skirt. Secure the right front and the left front along the upper edge.
  10. Face the upper edge of the front and back skirt halves with the facing. Topstitch the facing allowance onto the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the facing seam.
  11. Turn under the side edges of the facing and hand stitch.
