- 7. Back YOKE – QTY 2
- 8. Front FACING – QTY 1
- 9. Back FACING – QTY 1
- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: front FACING, back FACING.
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the waistband with FUSIBLE INTERFACING (Heat-activated interfacings are ironed onto the wrong side of the piece with a hot iron). Stitch darts on the back YOKE and press them towards the center.
- Stitch the side GORE and the side upper part. Topstitch the seam along the side GORE.
- Attach the stitched pieces to the YOKE pieces. Topstitch the seam along the YOKE.
- Stitch the center insert and the center GORE. Press the seam and topstitch along the center insert.
- Attach the side lower part to the center insert. Press the seam and topstitch along the side lower part.
- Stitch the upper and lower skirt pieces. Press the seam upwards and topstitch.
- Stitch the right and left panels of the front and back halves. Press the seam open.
- Complete the side seams. Insert the ZIPPER into the left side seam so that the teeth are not visible.
- Stitch the FACINGS along the right side seam. Overcast the bottom edge of the FACING. Place the FACING and the skirt right sides together and stitch the upper edge of the skirt. Turn the FACINGS upwards and topstitch them to the seam allowances. Attach the side edges of the FACING to the ZIPPER.
- Overcast and topstitch the hem of the skirt. If desired, the hem of the skirt can be left unfinished.
