Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the FACING, upper COLLAR, CUFF, and flaps with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Press the box pleats on the pockets. Box pleats are the wrong side of an inverted pleat.
- Fold and topstitch the integrated pocket FACINGS, press the side and bottom SEAM ALLOWANCES of the pockets according to the pattern pieces.
- Place the pockets on the FRONT PANEL according to the markings. Topstitch the patch pockets.
- Stitch the flaps for the upper and lower pockets. Topstitch 0.3 cm from the edge. Overlock the upper edge of the flaps and attach according to the markings on the FRONT PANEL. Turn the flaps out and topstitch to the FRONT PANEL.
- Overlock the inner edge of each FACING. Stitch the FRONT PANEL with the FACINGS.
- Stitch the shoulder seams.
- Stitch the side seams.
- Stitch the lower COLLAR to the upper COLLAR, turn right side out and press.
- Turn the FACINGS to the wrong side. Baste and press the edges. Stitch the lower COLLAR into the neckline, fold under the raw edge of the upper COLLAR and topstitch into the seam of the lower COLLAR attachment. Secure the FACINGS at the shoulder seams with a 1 cm bar tack.
- Stitch the SLEEVE seams.
- Press the upper edge of the lower CUFF by 1 cm. Stitch the lower CUFF to the upper CUFF and turn it right side out.
- Attach the upper CUFF to the lower edge of the SLEEVE, and topstitch the lower CUFF.
- Stitch the epaulets, turn right side out, press, and topstitch 0.3 cm from the edge.
- Set in the SLEEVES, inserting the epaulets and easing the cap.
- Stitch two belt pieces, fold the belt in half and stitch three sides, leaving an opening in the middle. Turn the belt right side out, press, and close the opening in the middle.
- Fold the belt loop lengthwise in half with right sides together, aligning the raw edges, and stitch 0.5-0.7 cm from the edges. Then turn it right side out, straighten the seam, placing it on the fold, or create a 0.1-0.2 cm wide edge on the inside and press.
- Topstitch the belt loops according to the markings along the side seams and in the middle of the BACK PANEL. Thread the belt through the belt loops.
- Overlock the hem SEAM ALLOWANCES, turn to the wrong side and topstitch along the edge.
- Overlock buttonholes on the epaulets and on the flaps.
- Overlock buttonholes on the right FRONT PANEL, sew buttons on the left FRONT PANEL.
