- FLOUNCE – 2 QTY
- From LINING fabric:
- Cups – 2 QTY
Cut BIAS BINDING on the bias, 5.0 cm wide.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WORKING WITH SHEER FABRICS. Do not transfer pattern contours and markings to cut pieces using carbon paper, as all lines will be visible from the right side of the garment. It is easiest to cut all pieces with identical SEAM ALLOWANCES and stitch seams to the same width.
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch bust darts on the cups.
- Stitch bust darts on the LINING cups.
- Stitch main fabric cups.
- Stitch LINING cups.
- FACE the lower edge of the cups with the LINING cups.
- Attach the lace cups to the FLOUNCE with a blind stitch.
- Place the main fabric cut pieces under the lace cut pieces, baste, and then treat the pieces as single-layer.
- FACE the front edges of the cups with lace with the LINING cups, turn the cups right side out.
- Fold the TRIM STRIP for the armhole and back neckline in half lengthwise and press. Attach the folded TRIM STRIP to the armhole edges, with the fold of the TRIM STRIP lying on the garment at a width of 0.75 cm. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.5 cm width. Turn the TRIM STRIP to the wrong side, topstitch along the armhole and back neckline.
