Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the all-in-one FACINGS of the front opening with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL.
  3. Turn the all-in-one FACINGS of the front openings halfway to the wrong side and press. Fold the FACINGS in half, turn to the right side, and stitch to the neckline edges of the FRONT PANELS from the edge of the front opening to the transverse NOTCH. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 5 mm width and NOTCH at the ends of the seams. Baste the FACINGS to the wrong side and stitch to the bottom edge of the blouse.
  4. Stitch the shoulder seams.
  5. Stitch the side seams.
  6. Face the lower COLLAR with the upper COLLAR, turn out and press.
  7. Turn the under FACINGS to the wrong side. Baste the edges and press. Stitch the lower COLLAR into the neckline, turn under the open edge of the upper COLLAR and topstitch into the seam of the lower COLLAR attachment.
  8. Stitch the SLEEVE seams.
  9. Set in the SLEEVES, easing the cap.
  10. Finish the SEAM ALLOWANCES for the hem of the garment and SLEEVE hem, turn to the wrong side and topstitch along the edge.
  11. On the right FRONT PANEL, make buttonholes, and on the left FRONT PANEL, sew on buttons.
  12. TIP: If you want a shaped hem for the SLEEVE and blouse, the FRONT PANEL, BACK PANEL, and SLEEVE pieces are cut without SEAM ALLOWANCES at the bottom. The listed pieces should be placed against the scalloped edge.
