  • Front – 2 pieces
  • Back – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

Tip: To keep the material stretchy in the areas of finished seams, stitch the cut pieces with a narrow zigzag or special stretchy stitch. To keep the bottom edge stretchy, the hem should be overlocked with an overlock stitch, and then stitched using a twin needle. The same applies to the finishing of other edges of the product that should not lose elasticity. These recommendations do not apply to industrial production.

  1. Fuse interfacing to the Front Facings, Cuffs and Back Neckline Facings.
  2. Stitch the Back Neckline Facings to the shoulder edges of the Front Facings.
  3. Overlock the inner edge of the Front Facings and Back Neckline Facings.
  4. Stitch the shoulder seams, catching a selvage strip in the seams to stabilize them.
  5. Stitch the joined Front Facings and Back Neckline Facings to the front edges and around the neckline of the fronts and back. Turn the facings and topstitch them in place.
  6. Stitch the side seams.
  7. Stitch the sleeve seams.
  8. Fold each Cuff right sides together and stitch the short ends into a ring, leaving a slit open in the middle of the seam; clip the seam allowance at the slit. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the edges of the slit.
  9. Attach the cuffs to the bottom of the sleeve and overlock the upper edge of the cuff together with the sleeve.
  10. Topstitch the cuff seam allowances onto the sleeve, then topstitch along the lower edge of the cuff and around the slit.
  11. Set in the sleeves, easing the cap.
  12. Hem and topstitch the bottom of the garment.
  13. On the right front, make buttonholes, and on the left front, sew on buttons.
