Tech. Description

Gathered Drawstring Bell Sleeve Blouse

Introduce a captivating peasant-style blouse pattern, featuring a gracefully gathered drawstring neckline, lace trim bands, and romantic sleeves with gathered puffs and pointed flounces.

When To Wear:

  • Bohemian Chic: Perfect for creating effortlessly stylish, free-spirited ensembles.
  • Romantic Evenings: Ideal for dinner dates or social gatherings with an elegant, feminine touch.
  • Resort & Vacation Wear: Lightweight and airy, suitable for warm weather and leisurely settings.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a gathered upper bodice joined under the bust to a smooth lower part that flares gently towards the hem.

Neckline: a wide drawstring neckline: a cord runs through the casing formed by the neckline facings, gathering the neckline into soft ruffles and tying at the center front above a short center front seam opening.

Sleeves: Long sleeves that reach up to the neckline, each with a gathered sleeve inset set between two lace trim bands, finishing in a dramatic, pointed triangular flounce.

Waist: a lace trim band is stitched along the seam joining the upper and lower parts of the front and back.

Hem: a softly flared lower edge, turned under and topstitched.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires skills in gathering, creating a drawstring casing with facings, attaching lace trim, and assembling multi-component sleeves.
