Straight Skirt with Darts and Waistband

CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
  1. BACK SKIRT HALF - 1 QTY on fold
  2. FRONT SKIRT HALF - 1 QTY on fold
  3. Waistband - 1 QTY
• From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: interface the waistband piece.

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch darts on the FRONT SKIRT HALF and BACK SKIRT HALF.
2. Stitch side seams, leaving an unstitched section for the ZIPPER in the left side seam.
3. Insert the ZIPPER.
4. Fold the waistband right sides together with the upper edge of the skirt and stitch, leaving the SEAM ALLOWANCE for the fastener extending at the right back edge of the waistband. Finish the ends of the waistband with a FACING. Turn under the inner edges of the waistband and topstitch from the right side into the attachment seam. On the left end of the waistband, make a buttonhole; on the right, sew on a button.
5. Turn under the hem allowance to the wrong side and hand stitch.
