High Waist Gathered Swim Briefs

CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
1. BACK PANEL - 1 QTY on fold
2. FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY on fold
3. Insert – 2 QTY on fold
• From batiste:
1. BACK PANEL - 1 QTY on fold
2. FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY on fold

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch the bottom seam on the main fabric and batiste pieces. Fold the pieces right sides together and FACE the upper edges and leg openings. Turn the briefs right side out, baste, and topstitch.
2. Fold the inserts lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch the long sides. Turn the inserts right side out and press so that the seam is in the middle of the insert. Stitch decorative lines to form casings, insert elastic TRIM STRIP, and gather the fabric onto it. Secure the TRIM STRIP and stitch the inserts to the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL of the briefs.
3. Fold the elastic TRIM STRIP with the leg opening and, stretching slightly, stitch with a zigzag stitch.
