  • Crepe

Additional Supplies

  • Fusible interfacing for the upper collar and front facings/lapels
  • 4 buttons

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the upper COLLAR and front edges.
  2. Stitch the darts on the FRONT PANELS. Press the dart depths towards the center front, and topstitch along the edge from the right side.
  3. Stitch the side seams. Stitch the back center seam on the BACK PANEL and the strap. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
  4. COLLAR: Place COLLAR pieces right sides together, stitch along the outer contour. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES. Turn the COLLAR right side out, topstitch the edges along the edge. Baste the open edges of the COLLAR to the SEAM ALLOWANCES at a distance of 1 mm from the marking line. Stitch the COLLAR into the neckline of the outer top part from the right side, aligning the NOTCHES.
  5. Connect the inner and outer parts of the top: place the inner and outer pieces right sides together, stitch along the front edges and bottom edges, the stitching line starts and ends 5 cm short of the neckline on the front edges. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES, clip corners. Turn the top right side out, baste the edges. Pin the open edges of the strap and then the BACK PANEL edges; to do this, pull the BACK PANEL edges to the right side through the open section on the COLLAR attachment seam. Stitch the edges in one go. Baste the edges of the strap and the back neckline. Fold under the SEAM ALLOWANCES on the inner part of the strap and baste to the COLLAR attachment seam. Topstitch the COLLAR attachment seam, front edges, bottom edges, back neckline edges, and strap edges along the edge from the right side.
  6. Along the right front edge, overcast buttonholes; sew buttons onto the left FRONT PANEL edge.
